AEL Mining Services is a leading developer, producer and supplier of commercial explosives, initiating systems and blasting services for mining, quarrying and construction markets in Africa and Indonesia.
We are currently seeking for best candidates to fill the following vacant positions:

TECHNICAL SERVICES ENGINEER (CODE: TS – ENG) 
To be based at site
Key Responsibilities: 
- To provide AEL business units with expert technical decisions, information and advice on product mix to meet existing and future market needs. 
- To use AEL Mining Services’ blasting expertise to the best advantage of the company and its stakeholders by applying blasting expertise to the various AEL Indonesia business units in a professional manner. 
- To cement strategic relationships and optimize business returns for both AEL Indonesia and its customers thus ensuring company credibility and competitive edge in the market place. 
- The incumbent will be required to travel and work in a roster system.
The Requirements: 
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering 
- At least 2 years’ experience as Engineer in Drill and Blast department. 
- Good communication skills, in English and Bahasa Indonesia, as the incumbent is required to communicate with clients. 
- Computer literacy with reporting experience. 
- Hold blaster competency (KJL II) 
- Hold POP will be an advantage 
- Hold a Driver’s license; for heavy vehicle would be an advantage. 
- The incumbent will be required to travel and work in a roster system.
BULK TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (CODE: BTS – ENG) 
To be based at Sangatta
Key Responsibilities: 
- Provides a problem-solving and technical support service to all operations within the Indonesian Business, with multi-departmental interaction. 
- Involved in new product development in the “Centre of Excellence” and trials at all PT AEL Indonesia sites, according to the Bulk Tech projects. 
- Routine quality analysis of products produced in AEL plants and MMU. 
- Interacts with the R&D Team in AEL Pinelands, with feedback of the latest procedures and developed technologies relevant to the department. 
- Assists with the analysis and reporting of non-routine or unusual customer complaints. 
- Interprets manufacturing and technical requirements to enable the compilation of Raw Material and Product specifications. 
- Contributes to Plant Training and Calibration of the Plant Equipment related to Bulk Explosives Manufacturing and Testing. 
- Develop reports regarding Bulk Explosives trials. 
- Frequently consulted on product/safety/ quality issues. 
- Recommend and/or develop procedures related to Bulk Explosives manufacturing and trials. 
- Provide advices to the Operations team regarding explosives product.
The Requirements: 
- S1 or D3 Degree in Chemistry with minimum 5 years of relevant experience. 
- Have a minimum 3 years of experience in chemical laboratory analysis. 
- Strong analytical skills. 
- Detail oriented. 
- Perseverance. 
- Experience in Explosive Industry is an advantage. 
- Computer literacy (MS Office applications). 
- English spoken & written is preferable.
SHE SUPERVISOR (CODE: SHE-SPV) 
To be based at Melak
Key Responsibility: 
- Support site management in developing annual site specific Objective, Target and Program (OTP) for SHE. 
- Facilitate Risk Assessment and Environment Aspect & Impact for site operational. 
- Provide site with any update related with safety info or issue from AEL Mining Services, client, industry and government. 
- Monitoring the achievement of site SHE Individual accountability in weekly basis and provide update to site management. 
- To maintain site SHE record and provide site with SHE statistic for SHE performance improvement. 
- Ensure SHE meeting is conducted regularly (Monthly SHE Meeting, daily TBT, SHE Committee meeting, Green area Meeting). 
- Provide regular Safety campaign to workforce. 
- Inspect all safety equipment regularly. 
- To maintain certificate validation of safety equipment, license and unit. 
- Ensure the implementation of close loop UOR at site (All unusual occurrence is reported with UOR, electronic UOR is submitted, All UOR that require investigation to be investigated, recommendation from investigation is closed out). 
- Determine root cause of any incident by investigating the accident and determine the correct preventive and corrective action in order to prevent the reoccurrence. 
- Work together with site management to prepare for OPEX audit particularly for Safety and Environment pillar. 
- Ensure the compliance of internal audit schedule of AEL Indonesia. 
- Apply On Time In Full (OTIF) in SHE Reporting. 
- To ensure all employees obtain training on Safety, Health and Environmental as required in Training Gap Analysis (TGA). 
- Ensure all employees carry out Medical Check-Up (MCU) as per schedule, all findings from MCU to be followed up and investigated. 
- Develop an accurate annual forecast for PPE, Monitor the PPE consumption and ensure the PPE usage meet with budget. 
- Coordinate with site Local Document Controller (LDC) and site management to ensure Site action data base (SIP/LCAS/CPAS) are updated accordingly. 
- Carry out nitrate test regularly at area that has exposure with nitrate storage or usage.
Requirements: 
- D3 Safety, minimum 3 years experiences or Bachelor Degree majoring in engineering, environment or public health with 2 years related experience. 
- Driving License A 
- Good communication skills, both in English and Bahasa Indonesia, written and spoken, as the incumbent is required to communicate to management level. 
- Technical knowledge. 
- Computer literacy. 
- Able to obtain POP certification. 
- Hold Occupational Health and Safety professional certificate (AK3 Umum).
MAINTENANCE PLANNER AND SCHEDULER (CODE: MTC – MPS) 
To be based at Sangatta
Key Responsibility: 
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate all maintenance work performed within all AEL Indonesian site 
- Carefully plan and schedule work to maintain the designed reliability of equipment. 
- Improve work force productivity and work quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning and coordination of labor, parts and material, and equipment access. 
- Manage central spares to agreed levels. 
- Do input investigation into reoccurring problems on MMU’s and Emulsion manufacturing plants. 
- Actively strive to reduce overall maintenance cost and increase the life span of all equipment. 
- Do small projects to increase productivity or to increase the life span of equipment. 
- Provide technical backup to the maintenance team. 
- Ensure that engineering data and records are accurate and current. 
- Draw up and manage a central MMU data base. 
- Conduct all Preventative, Predicted and Periodic Maintenance planning including spare for all MMU’s and Emulsion manufacturing plants for all site contracts. 
- Maintain records and files essential to meaningful analysis and reporting of maintenance-related matters. 
- Provide close and constant liaison between operations and maintenance through the maintenance coordinator.
Requirements: 
- Bachelor degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical), or Technical Diploma with 3 years’ experience in relevant field. 
- Previous maintenance planning experience. 
- Technical knowledge. 
- Knowledge of electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic system. 
- Computer literate in Word and in Excel and in MS Project 
- Proficient in English
SITE SUPERINTENDENT (CODE: FLD – SPI) 
To be based at Separi
Key Responsibilities: 
- Manages all elements of the delivery and application of bulk explosive products and accessories to meet customer needs. 
- Ensuring that all employees under the operation crews adhere to the safety procedures and regulations for blasting practices in the field. 
- Assists in managing raw materials, equipment and customers in order to plan effectively in the short term. 
- Ensuring that the work performed on the project meets or exceeds criteria’s established by PT.AEL’s customer. 
- Responsible to closely monitor all daily blasting mining practices and promptly change and or adjust any of the activities in order to maximize productivity to meet our expectations as detailed in daily design tie up sequence or agreement document. Maintain good communication and information throughout the workforce. 
- Addressing any potential issues that may cause delay of blasting operation in the field. 
- The incumbent is required to operate and maintain the allocated company assets within the frame wok of the company’s Safety and Environmental policies and the legal while meeting customer requirements.
The Requirements: 
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering, sufficiently mature with a minimum of 6 years’ experience 
- Hold blaster competency 
- Hold Defensive Driving Certificate 
- Hold valid POP to obtain POM certification 
- A Driver’s license, B Driving License would be an advantage 
- Able to proficiently speak and write in English 
- Good communication skills, in English and Bahasa Indonesia, as the incumbent is required to communicate to management level 
- Technical knowledge

SITE SUPERVISOR (CODE: FLD – SPV) 
To be based at Melak
Key Responsibilities: 
- In charge for down the hole and blasting activities. 
- Deliver the product within customer request. 
- Look after site or department assets required for blasting activities. 
- Inspection and measurement of drilled blast holes, to determine quality and number of holes per blast. 
- Document and report any anomaly from the Inspection and measurement of drilled blast holes. 
- When required, the incumbent will be required to assess blast designs provided and apply his design to any specified bench in agreement with Customer personnel. 
- Manage the delivery bulk explosive and accessories required for each blast area. 
- The incumbent will be required to travel and work in a roster system.
The Requirements: 
- Senior High School, with minimum 5 years’ experience or Diploma 3 degree with minimum 3 years’ experience or Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 3 years’ experience. 
- Certificate of Blasting Competency Holder (KJL 2). 
- Operational Supervisory Level 1 Certificate (POP). 
- Computer Literate. 
- Hold a Driving License, B2 Driving License is preferred. 
- Hold Defensive Driving Certificate. 
- Good communication skills, in English and Bahasa Indonesia, as the incumbent is required to communicate to management level.
ADMIN SUPPORT (CODE: ADM – AS) 
To be based at Jakarta
Key Responsibilities: 
- Maintain Personnel Database Record, Employee Leave, Medical Data and HR documentation. 
- Support Payroll administration. 
- Process GRN, PR and invoicing. 
- Assist in administration works for Marketing and Communication and Recruitment 
- Petty cash administration. 
- Assist Internal Finance team to provide and follow up supporting documents to vendors related to commercial and tax invoices 
- Prepare Standard Chartered Bank Reconciliation 
- Update Middle BI Excel, email & SAP (including Graph BI Rate) 
- Update ZAR Rate in SAP 
- Assist in processing payment and approval from management and head office

SHOTFIRER (CODE: FLD – SF) 
To be based at site
Key Responsibilities: 
- Tie up, Clearing, Firing and post blast. 
- Deliver the product within customer request (No product mistaken load into the hole). 
- Inspection and measurement of drilled blast holes, to determine quality and number of holes per blast. 
- Deliver accessories required for each blast area. 
- Must have knowledge of and apply any additional customer Safety Standards. 
- Prevent any environmental contamination as per environmental management system. 
- Report any incidents occurred to Supervisor.
The Requirements: 
- Senior High School with minimum 3 years’ experience or D3 with minimum 1-2 years’ experience 
- Certificate of Blasting Competency Holder (KJL 2) and a valid KIM 
- Hold A driving license (SIM A) and defensive driving license
MMU OPERATOR (CODE: FLD-MMU) 
To be based at site
Key Responsibilities: 
- Operating MMU as per customers’ need. 
- Maintain the MMU in a clean condition, inside and outside. 
- Refill the MMU material and MMU charging down the hole. 
- Deliver the product as per customer’s need. 
- Optimal use of MMU unit. 
- Pre-checking the MMU prior using and reporting to Supervisor for any under-standard MMU condition. 
- MMU calibration as per schedule.
The Requirements: 
- Age min. 21 years old 
- Senior High School with minimum 3 years’ experience or D3 with minimum 1-2 years’ experience 
- Hold B2 driving license (SIM B2) 
- Experience as equipment operator is an advantage 
- Certificate of Blasting Competency Holder (KJL 2) and KIM is an advantage
MECHANIC/ELECTRICIAN (CODE: MTC-MEC) 
To be based at site
Responsibilities: 
- Fast response for field function at site. 
- Conduct all mechanical inspection and repair in Plant and charging unit. 
- Supervise and check standard job which is done by contractor and give information to Supervisor. 
- Ensure the availability of electrical equipment and do repair all electrical breakdowns. 
- Ensure all electrical point is safe for user by applying the correct company’s Safety Standard. 
- Ensure that all electrical power is always available by immediately identifying the failure of electrical power. 
- Do job as per company’s standard which is align with the above standard. 
- Supporting Instrument Engineer in instrumentation maintenance as needed and instructed.
The Requirements: 
- Age min. 21 years old 
- Technical High School with minimum 3 years’ experience or Diploma 3 with minimum 1 year 
- Hold a driving license, B2 Driving License is preferred. 
- Hold valid clearance issuer certification. 
- Hold Pump Certification. 
- Technical knowledge. 
- Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic system.
